Guys HELP: and ladies your opions too: If you are dating someone that suposely cares is this normal?

I just ended things with a guy, please let me know if this is normal the way someone should act. We have been dating for a while and all of a sudden he decided to say "you know you cant spend every weekend here at my house, eventually you'll want to stay during the week and then you'll be moved in and that some nights would be okay for me to leave a midnight. My phone doesnt get service and its very dark and very country where he lives. This is weird as only last week he could not get enough of me even saying I can come over anytime I wanted. We talked last night and he began to get irate and screamed and shouted a cus word and then hung up the phone on me. He is swaying back and fourth with me, okay one minute and not the next. Even told me that he knew I would leave him. I just dont get it why someone would change sooo fast. Please let me know what would make a person that suposely cares say that?
