Need some advice for my future!?

ok so im an 18 tear old who just graduated from high school. im enlisted in the marines but waiting on a medical waiver to leave for boot camp which is going to take a few months to come in. im having second thoughts of my future. my ultimate goal is to be a mass state trooper. i know that a high majority of troopers are ex marines.well at least for mass, of course my family keeps telling me not to go and i cant go to none of them for advice because theyll all tell me to stay and its kind of making me think that marines might not be the best option for me even though its been a dream of mine, ive been looking at becoming a full time student and getting a degree in criminal justice and then becoming a state trooper. im just not sure what route i should take go into the marines or be a full time student. i know u can go to school in the marines but i wanna go active not reserves. some opinions could be useful please ?
