Help! Left button on USB Microsoft mouse doesn't work, but the right one does?

Buy a new one. They are cheap enough. You could take the screw(s) out of the bottom and take the thing apart and clean it. Might be buildup under that button switch. The screws are sometimes under a sticker or the pads. A phillips screw is what you'll find under there.
