How would you have handled a misogynist shop owner?

I went into a Bass Pro Shoppe ready to buy a bow.It took me twenty minutes to find anyone to talk to about the different bows.When I found someone,I was asking about the pros and cons of the bow I'd picked,and the only thing he said to me was 'well,the minimum for tension in a hunting bow in alabama is 35 pounds..the top female hunter in alabama can pull back 40..i don't think this bow is for you'. I informed him that I wasn't looking for him to tell me what I could/couldn't pull back,I was looking to buy a bow. I'd judge my ability when I did target practice. Then a man who had just walked in spoke to him,and he ran off to help *him*,leaving me hanging.Irate,I left,and called the office to complain..turned out,he *was* the shop owner. I told him how angry I was at his misogyny,that I had friends,both male and female that hunt,and he'd just lost several customers. How would you have handled this?
