I need help with my windows 7 ultimate os!!?

Hi,my windows 7 os is acting crazy,it's stopping all my anti-virus programs e.g avast & avira,sometimes the theme just goes into classic mode e.t.c i tried to install windows xp over 7 but each time i insert the installation cd i can't click on'install xp'please help..could it be a virus?
