Is this disrespectful?

My bf asked me if I was really interested in losing weight so I posed a similar Q back at him and asked if he was interested in quitting smoking. He tend got irate and said "woman, stop asking Qs and just answer!" I answered and asked him why it was ok for him not to discuss him quitting smoking and it was another rule for me and he expected me to be open about my weight issue. He then said I was acting like an asshole so I asked him what is he acting like?. He tend said I was being childish and was disappointed in how my mind still works. Was he being disrespectful at all?
