at least you realize how stupid you were and how bigoted. i was like that too, guess what happened to me, at the awesome age of 24 i came out as bi. i'm not saying that will happen to you, but as person who is christian, i felt that i was going to hell because of the way i felt, so i turned to food and gained a whole bunch of weight. i also told my friends who were bi or gay that they were not real christians and they were "sadly" going to hell! i regret it mainly because now i'm out and its happening to me! apologize and tell him that no he is not going to hell and that you realized how ignorant you were. there is a great website called "would Jesus discriminate" that talks about being gay and christian and how you are born this way and God intended for you to be that way. also "fish out of water" is a amazing documentary about what the bible really says about being gay and how church's are now changing. if you want him to change his mind about God, these are the two go to's. if not then just apologize and say, i'm soo sorry for my action, i really do regret what i did. going to march with him would be great too, to not just use words but actions as well!
